Don't know if these come up commonly (haven't been ebaying for long) but I noticed that this Canadian seller has a bunch of special edition ratcheting screwdrivers, including this one:

Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.ca/Snap-On-Ratcheting-Screwdriver-Nascar-Mike-Skinner_W0QQitemZ260328228995QQihZ016QQcategoryZ35625QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting

Hope someone finds it useful.

Cool huh? Unfortunately I already have a SO ratcheting screwdriver and I don't like it. Never use it. I realise i'm in the minority on this board though.

You are brave to admit that here:bounce:

looks like they are mostly football teams, so if you guys are looking for a gift for a football nut you might want to check it out

I'm not a huge fan of the ratcheting screwdriver either. If they were fixed blade and I didn't have to change the bits then they would probably be my go to screwdrivers. Sort of like the ratcheting combo wrenches. As it is the convenience of not having to dink around with bits out weighs the convenience of having a ratcheting screwdriver.

????? Please help me out here. My Snap-on ratcheting screwdrivers (yes, I have more than one) have a neutral setting that makes it a "fixed blade." Yes, I have to change the bits at the appropriate times, but the bits are readily available in the storage compartment of the screwdriver. Are your fixed screwdrivers more accessible then that for your own set up? I'm perplexed, what am I missing?

Aww hell, it's hard to explain. I don't like changing the bits. Partly because they're so small it's easy to drop them and lose them. Partly because I get in a "rythm" and stopping to change bits disrupts that. I prefer to have a selection of screwdrivers on a cart and just grab the one I need. Now if I could get a set of ratcheting screwdrivers with the tips permanently affixed that would be the cats ***. No bits to dink with.

Make any more sense?

SO makes screwdriver blades for the soft handle ratcheting drivers #1, 2, 3 Phillips and at least three flat blades. Guess you could get several drivers and blades and not worry about bits. Don't know about the other truck brands.

It makes sense to me. I would guess that a lot of guys prefer having a few regular screwdrivers on hand versus switching out the bits in the middle of a project. I guess they each have their own place, which is why guys buy both.
