I noticed some moister today coming out of my air line.
When I went to drain the filter I noticed some **** coming out of the drain.
I tore it apart and the filter element was shot, it was actually coming apart in pieces.
I looked around at various sites for a replacement, it was a no go.
It is a Model 2Z435 Dayton/Speedaire moisture trap.
I realize that being its at least 20+ years old I may not find the element.
I was hoping maybe someone on this site might know of a source for the elements, or if the elements out of newer units may work in this one?
When I went to the Speedaire site looking for parts it went straight to the Grainger site.
Are they worth rebuilding or should I just go buy a new unit?
Thanks,

Dayton and Speedaire are Grainger brands.

Call Grainger's parts and repair department (1-800-323-0620) instead of simply searching online. The techs there have access to more information and replacement parts inventory than what shows on the main Grainger.com site.
