I did see this earlier but there isn't much specificity regarding where the 18 is used. I have seen an older "spec sheet" that a GG member posted sometime ago. I am not sure how relevant it is. Waiting on a response from SPG. Fingers crossed.

I compared it to SNAP specs and well, it is the same. Waiting to see which sliders Spg uses but in terms of gauge for gauge, it's spot on, with Spg having a few wins, and I'm sure SNAP having some better design features but that's for others to provide intell.

Last update- SPG indicated that a reinforcement channel is welded under the top plate. When asked either accuride sliders are used, the answer was a "comparable product." They've been forthcoming and completely transparent. I tried to get some of this info for two smaller truck boxes but it didn't happen.

It definitely has what I need. Looks like I'll be getting the 72".

UPDATE: Purchase made, using Costco online (easy simple process). Anxiously awaiting the arrival!

Still waiting for delivery. Costco has been great to deal with, the shipping company not so much. I am holding out hope the delivery can be resolved. It has been sitting at the depot for a week. As a courtesy, I will not mention the company by name, hoping they can just delivery my darn box.....

It has ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Details to follow, but the box is incredible and I thank the original post for the review. It is incredibly well built, with great, almost 'perfect' finishing, heavy feeling drawers (even empty) and shipped / packed very well.

Getting it off the truck was quite the ordeal. Luckily I was able to get it out the snow with the help of the pallet jack. Otherwise, it would have been almost impossible. It comes built onto a very study, very well protected pallet. The wood was good quality as well, and will be used at a friend's fireplace.

Unwrapping and de-palleting it was definitely a two person job. The finishing is VERY impressive, and drawers all feel very thick (note: the steel is 18 gauge, which is equivalent to some truck-sold boxes). Paint was impeccable, and looks even more impressive in person than in pictures.
