SPG International Box

Need a toolbox, and am torn between two of the SPG international models. Due to location and freight costs, costco is my best bet for getting something.

1. 75 in 15 Drawer $1399 (530 lb)
2. 73 in 21 Drawers SHD $2995 (830 lb)

I am totally sold on the 73' model after seeing how well built it is, but am not finding as much info on the 75 in model.

This box is going to be used occasionally and not as a profession or means of income, however I don't want to get something flimsy that has drawers that bind- that's kind of why I was leaning towards the 73 inch model. It is a serious amount of coin though. I intend to park the box and not move it around very much at all, so the super fancy shock absorbed casters arent a must.

Can anyone provide any input or feedback on the 75 inch model?
Is it well worth the money if I splurge and get the heavier version ?

Thanks

occasional use and not moving it about then the 75" not bad box have and 1,600 bucks cheaper.
I would never spend 3K on a new box and I use 3 for a living, If like quality and want spend 2K look at used truck brand as saves you 1K and holds pretty much same value you put into it .

The 15 drawer SPG value box is the same as Sears Craftsman sold a few years back for $1,599.99. Looks to be a good occasional use box.

The 21 drawer SPG shd box is the same as the Napa Ultrapro that you always see in the Napa real deals catalog for $3,499.99. Nice heavy duty box with lots of drawers.

Even though i like good quality boxes, the SHD might be overkill sitting in a home garage. Its your dollar, the SHD is a lifetime box, the Value line is not

I got the 42" SPG top and bottom from peaveymart a few years back which where stolen. Replaced them with a similar size from Costco... definitely not the same box one bit. The old ones felt way heavier built.

My opinion? Got a Home Depot in Dawson or a bit away? They had their 42s on sale this or last week reg. 398$ on for 277$. If not moving them around much, I myself would go this way and build a workbench around a pair of the Huskys. For the price of the 75, you could have 4 and know what you getting.

Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Costco's ship to my door but not impressed with what I got...rather know im getting.

For home use, the 75" is fine. It's a soild box, they just knew where to cut corners to keep coat down. Personally I'd swing for the 73" since it's a taller box.

I have the 56" value series top/bottom boxes which is identical in construction to the 75" you linked. Nice that it's 24" deep unlike most others that are only 18" deep.

Quite pleased with the quality, for home use they are solid and I wouldn't hesitate buying them again. Especially considering I got both new from Amazon.ca for under $1000 tax/ship included (price had dropped).
