Bo-dock doesn't grow around here...but I remember them in Texas as a kid.
Spiders can "hold their breath" for about 6 hours, so most "bombs" don't work.
We have "Hobo" spiders here, which have a bite similar to a brown recluse, but not quite as bad (thank Heavens!). I spray with an Ortho ant killer, and it wipes them out. It leaves a film that keeps them from coming in too. Whenever I see a spider or two, I spray everything from about 4 feet down. The webs are gone, and so are the spiders, or anything else that crawls on the ground.
