Spline drive sticking to fasteners?

I have the mountain double box end ratcheting set and find that the spline drives stick to the by heads all the time and it's annoying. My coworker said his Gearwrench spline don't do that at all. Have anyone else experienced this? I like the flex head but don't want them if it's going to be like my mountain set. I'll go for the 12 point instead. My SK splines don't do it, so I'm wondering if it's just my set with the issue.

I've got Gearwench & Matco/Kabo long zero box wrenches with the flex head and the Gerawrench wrenches sometimes tend to stick and/or mar up things at times, especially if the wrench doesnt stay engaged properly on the fastener (it can really mar things up then).

No issues that I remember with the Matco's, but I dont have many of those in smaller sizes. They do have a better "feel" overall as well, IMO.

So you mean they are not the 'one type fits all' solution the marketing makes them out to be. I have the XL Kabo's and yes sometimes the fastener gets stuck, for them to fit so many fastener types tradeoffs are inherent. Splines have their place but I wouldn't expect them to completely replace 6/12pt standard/ratcheting wrenches. Its good to have both.

I also have the XL DBE flex wrenches from kabo(Carlyle) and have not really had them get on much and I use them often. I only however use them on 6point stuff, not etorx or 12 point, as I use a regular wrench for those two.
