A T45 fits in this Roosa Master inj pump. That's the size but its not the right driver. Seems to be a mystery tool. I tried to find one earlier but didn't have any luck with it.

It does look like a Ribe to me, but that’s an odd thing to find on (what I thought was) a U.S. made pump. I’ve only ever found them on Italian cars, and I avoid them like the plague anyway!

If it is then I’d suggest KoKen. In fact, I tend to favour KoKen for most bit sockets. They make just about everything, in multiple styles and lengths. The diagram below shows the part numbers for different (two piece) sockets, and the Ribe sockets.

I’ve only ever found Bristol splines on electronic or radio equipment, and generally in the smaller sizes. Difficult to see how big the o.p’s screw is!

Thanks Bob, I will look when I get to my office. I been doing them with a cobble job I had, was stupid and broke a screw. Fuggers are really tight. We don't think they are locktite though but I might have ruined a pump, I need a core if I can't get this apart. It finally caught up with me. I think it's a D series pump, they got a **** load of part numbers. Out of a jd310.

I was looking eBay for a core. I need to get the tool. I thought I had it before but slipped up and absolutely need the bit. I see Standadyne has tools, I think they do call it a cam bit. They got some numbers but that's not been so good, wonder if they got a real pro tech line?

I was hoping to find a sympathetic old timer on tractor forum coding resist being helpful. There are a sheetload of these pumps still in service, they break a part in a simple kit, not terrible to have a helper service.

That bit is long since discontinued. I had most tools they offered for the past 17 years (before i was laid off), but that is one of the tool I don't have. There was one tech who had one from his days in re-man.....40 years ago. Getting a Bristol socket might be your best bet as they can be a real PIA to remove (and not snap off).

Here is the 'dyne's latest tool catalog: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjqnNik-PPsAhXnkHIEHafpDkIQFjAAegQIARAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.stanadyne.com%2Fdealerportal%2Fssi%2Fenglish%2FService%2520Tools%2520%26%2520Test%2520Equipment%2F99929.pdf&usg=AOvVaw2fnHqCyrJQxNpmN0q58M9D

https://sunextools.com/products/24-pc-ribe-bit-set/ Sunex still has a set fairly cheap for many sizes. Was a popular type of bolt in euro stuff back in the day.

Sorry, but that is not a Ribe head design.....Stanadyne used a Bristol design on their early DB pumps (open the first link on my first post). Unfortunately, that cam pin isn't in a spot to mess with trying something other than the correct tool. It can be a bear to break free and get out

McMaster Carr sells bits and keys. Just type in "bristol" in the search bar..

I might be getting some where with this. Wish I could have found it earlier and we had considered something like a support bushing but didnt have a pic. Still looking to buy the bit and even the bushing.
