Here's the only thing I thought was great deal. What's the quality of this ?? I guess you wouldn't know until you buy it.

http://www.sportsmansguide.com/prod...ong-3-4-drive-ratchet-extension-set?a=1724948

Who cares what the quality is? Its a 3/4 drive ratchet and extension for $9. Buy it and keep it for those instances where you need a throw away tool. Can you imagine how much torque you can subject this thing to with a cheater pipe? Wear safety glasses and gloves and who cares if you break it???

6 m o c o A yeah my phone spaces for auto correct! Anyway ratchets aren't designed to be used with cheater pipes, especially 9 dollar 3/4 inch chinese! Thats how injuries occur.odds are you couldn't put an equal amount of torque as any standard quality 1/2 drive.

That's why he said wear safety glasses and gloves. Injuries happen when people don't think ahead of the possibilities that could occur.

Safety glasses sure.but but when the tool breaks they dont protect you when you fall or pull your back, hit your head.or whatever else could happen in silly situations.

Lets not get silly here. Given what I recommended, you would be aware you are pushing a Chinese tool way past what its intended for and hopefully putting yourself in a position not to get flung across the shop or whatever.

If you are buying a $10 3/4 dr. ratchet and are asking about its quality, you are off base. Buy it because its a good deal and find a way to use it (safely) when the need comes up.

Why would you even consider a Chinese 3/4" ratchet for $9 when used vintage ones both US and Taiwan can be had for $20-30 that you know are far better quality.
We all know this special is just throwing away ten bucks to let ourselves feel good we have a 3/4 ratchet in the box. You also know it's going to break the first time you use it on something that really needs a 3/4 drive socket.

Please let it go. If you don't want one then don't buy one. They hold up just fine. I use them to turn over blower motors all the time. There is no need to start a fight.

Warning, don't sign up for their "club".

Why not? Depending on what your buying it can pay for itself the first time you use it. I seem to remember that when its offered at checkout you can decline it and they will give you a second chance with a better deal.

Those Versacarry holsters looks interesting. I ordered one, plus some mesquito nets and some cut-off wheels.

Because it's a pain to cancel after the "free" period is over. They let you re-signup for it every order, so there's no need in paying for it.

I need a beater ratchet to put in my tractor tool box. For $ 10.00 I'll take one and wont be heart broken if someone steals it like the last one.

My stuff showed up today. As expected everything was made in China. The Powermax pliers are better quality than expected. They look and feel similar to my Gearwrench and Mac ones. One has light surface rust. The 3/4 ratchet is typical Rural King type. What I really wanted was the 3/4 extension that came with it. It was like they tossed in the ratchet for free. I won't feel bad about tossing it in the trailer tongue box. The Astro pliers I'll open up tomorrow.

I like my 3/4 ratchet even though I really bought it for the extension.
$5 for the 3 piece pliers set is a steal.

Just placed an order for the two pliers sets. Thanks for the heads up. Didn't really have much in the way of longer reach pliers, should work well for the occasional use.

The shipping code didn't want to work, but found another one that did. SH1265
