Spot the code violation

I am going to say there is no violation as long as the fixture is rated for damp or wet location. We have no way of knowing that from the picture but the fixture looks very similar to the one above my master bathroom tub and shower. 410.10D

I posted this in the WTF thread a few weeks ago.

This was the shower in our motel room in Truth or Consequences, NM. I guess it's for plugging in the radio so you can sing along while you're in the shower.

I uploaded it before, but I can't figure out how to post the thumbnail again.

It all depends on your point of reference. At first glance, it looked like a spin on oil filter to me. Or maybe a diesel fuel filter for his diesel fired water heater.

I thought that would be OK if the light is on a GFIC protected circuit. There is a recessed light above my shower?

As far as code violations the paint looks awful.

I found this at a car wash where the owner had been letting an unlicensed handy man have free reign for over 10 years to his facilities. I wish I would have taken a pic of the electrical room. It looked like something out of a horror movie.

That's water coming out of the non-metallic flex.

The violation was obviously that he should have used THWN wire instead of THHN. (sarcasm)
