I need a spray bottle that can withstand mineral spirits. I've tried all kinds of plastic bottles even ones that claim to be chemical resistant but nothing lasts with mineral spirits. Any recommendations?

Thanks

I've used these for acetone and brake cleaner, seemed to hold up fine.

This is a good resource to check compatibility of fluids and materials for stuff like this.

I repurpose empty laundry stain remover spray bottles for general use chemicals in my shop. I currently have my Zout bottles cleaned and refilled with 91% alcohol, 99% alcohol, Degreaser, WD40, Simple Green, Goo Gone, baking soda water, and Tap Magic Pro Tap cutting fluid. They all spray without issue, and every one has been in service for at least a year. I would be surprised if one of those spray bottles didn't work with mineral spirits as well, because I think mineral spirits might be a main ingredient in either WD40, Goo Gone, or the degreaser I currently have in one of my bottles.

Shur-Shot. We autobody people use these for prepsol which is sort of close to mineral spirits. They last for decades. You're going to pay $50 for one but that's life.

I got some spray bottle pumps off eBay and they claim to have Viton rubber inside. So far they seem to holding up to mineral spirits just fine but I need a few more months before I can confirm they actually will last

Do you happen to have the eBay link to these? Much appreciated.

Have been using McMaster Carr # 2392T31 "EZ fill" trigger spray with mineral spirits and good success in longevity. Also use the same with Kroil although it collapses the round bottle into a triangular shape but the sprayer seems unaffected.

Those cans of AC-PRO are nice, too bad they can't be fitted with a sprayer head. But then you can't see the fluid level inside. I use a 50-50 mix of acetone/ATF for busting rusted threads, and some "chemically resistant" sprayer bottles I bought at Fleet Farm didn't last all that long. I may try the laundry sprayer bottle idea.

How good is the air seal on the Sure Shot? This might sit a week or even a month without use.
Most times if I am spraying a solvent to clean something for painting I will have the compressor on and ready to go so it may not make much difference... But if the pressure leaks out after a few hours than this starts to be a PITA

The only time I have to air up the sure shot cans is when I refill them with whatever fluid I am using. I usually on fill half way, and I have yet to have one air down on me. Some sit for months without being used... never an issue.

For mineral spirits, I use a Dutton-Lainson 631 20oz spray oiler. It is the only model/size with a seamless bottom. It works very well with no leaking.
