Over many years I have compared many chemical cleaners. I did a search for a product I have used for many years. I couldn't find where this particular product was discussed.
It is called Spray Nine.
I have no connection with this cleaner and I am not promoting it. I just love the product and want them to continue offering it.
Any comments?

Spray Nine was bought by Permatex some time back and seems to be the same formula. It is still available, even on Amazon and Lowes.
I order mine on line in 5 gallon containers.
One of my buddies told me he read a review, somewhere, where there was 8 or 9 hundred reviews and was rated 4 1/2 stars!

Sorry, Jiles. I misunderstood your post. When you said you wanted them to continue offering it, I thought you meant it was no longer available.

Day to day stuff I usually just use simple green... When I need something stronger, Misty cleaners makes some serious degreasers that are bio degradeable...

I like Oil Eater better - more cleaning power, costs $12/gal at Tractor Supply, and unlike some other caustic cleaners it will also protect metal from corrosion. Been using it a lot for prepping stuff for sale. It will readily take out 10 years of grinding dust/oil/sludge and make everything look new.

Definitely don't want this to sound like an advertisement---
I started using Spray9 about 35 years ago while detailing cars. Before discovering it, I was using many different products.
It is designed as a vinyl cleaner but I have used it on cloth upholstery and carpet with very favorable results.
It is advised to not use on leather!
Big Box stores sell Greased Lightening which works nearly as good with one big difference---Spray9 is a disinfectant that kills many germs and that's one reason I buy so much. My wife uses it exclusively in the kitchen and bath. Unbelievable how it cleans shower!
I buy a lot of items on eBay and from Pawnshops and I immediately clean items with Spray 9, just makes me feel better about it being clean.
Spray9 also offers Greezoff and it is what I use on really bad stuff and if I am running low, I mix Simple Green at :
17 oz. Hot Water.
3 oz. Mean Green.
1 oz. Ammonia.

There are something like 394 forest fires burning in the Northwest Territories right now, the closest of which is around 15 km from here. This has caused extremely smoky air, along with falling ash. We had not had rain for three months and then last week this black 'Apocolypse' cloud rolled in and within half an hour it was pitch black out and the combination of smoke and black clouds/rain/lightning caused an insane storm that I have never seen before in my life. Then about an hour later it blew over and it was light out again. But my white truck was now covered in black rain residue. The neighbors had a childs pool and it had 4 inches of pure BLACK water in it after. I attempted to wash it off with automotive-grade soap / brush but there was still a layer of black grime that wouldnt come off no matter how much I scrubbed.

I then realized I had a bottle of Spray Nine in the cupboard that I had not used before. I sprayed a small amount of that stuff on and the black ash rain residue literally melted off. I rinsed it really well and made sure to wash with soap again after and rerinse just to make sure I had it all off. That **** is amazing! I will be buying it by the gallon now. Absolutely impressed with Spray Nine. Great Product!!! The town is now sold out of it, as everyone had to wash their cars/houses but I will be sure to get more when I see it again!

Jiles,
I just bought a gallon of Spray9 at Home Depot last weekend. My dad used it when we were kids and I have used it ever since. Only thing I hate is that they changed the spray head on the bottles. It used to be continuously variable so you could get exactly the spray you wanted, now its only two positions, fine and coarse :( So I buy the gallons and use my own bottle. Still have two of the old bottles at the shop that I keep refilling.

Spray Nine is great.

Uncle Sam is a huge believer in it as well... We used to use it daily when I was in the service to cut JP8, Hydraulic Fluid, 23699'er, etc off the skin off AH-64s, 60s, and 47's.... Doesn't threaten to alter the properties of the NBC-deterrent CARC paint.

We used to use Simple Green for skin washes - but DA nixed it's use on tactical aircraft in favor of Spray Nine.

Still using it (now as a civilian) on AH-64s, haha.

A few years ago, my late brother gave me a 1976 MGB Roadster. He lost interest in the car and had it stored in his garage, covered with a plastic tarp, for 18 years.
I know this is hard to believe, since it had less the SIX K miles.
Why he would do that is still a mystery to me????
Anyhow, the car has black vinyl seats with black carpet and it was literally grey with mildew/mold.
It took me over a solid week just to detail the interior and I used Spray9 on everything except the glass.
That was seven years ago and it now has 11K miles and the mold/mildew has never returned. It takes 1st. or 2nd. in every car show I enter and , of course, I have to tell the story and a new Spray9 customer is born.
As I said, I am not trying to promote this cleaner, but if you are like me, you like things that do as they are advertised!!

I use Spray Nine for general cleaning, Oileater for degreasing or cleaning heavy grunge. When I pulled the stock engine out of The Malibu, I sprayed under the hood with Oileater, spray bombed the frame rails & installed the new suspension parts. Here's how it came out:
