Okay so I tried to find the answer to this through the search function of other threads first to no avail. So I will give my specifics a shot.

Ive got 800 sf inside my 3200sf garage that I am enclosing. I want to spray foam between the ceiling/roof joists. Would sprayfoam insulation be acceptable in this situation or not and why?
Its a metal tarred flat roof that slopes from the front of the garage to the rear. I plan on conditioning the 800sf but not the rest. I plan to start a build thread soon as this is gonna be a fun build. Until then here is a pic of the room in question.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Sure why not? The rest of your shop will be “outside” and act accordingly

Spray foam is fast to install but pricey. You need to check if it is fire resistant or if it must be covered by wallboard.
