I need to stain my fence or apply a sealer..
I would like to know which way to go, I can run 100' of hose to use my compressor but what gun to use? I have a HF pro HVLP purple gun but I think have to stop and fill alot due to the small cup.

I see Lowes have a electric sprayer like this

Or I can use a 3 gallon industrial pump sprayer (poor spray pattern, more like a soak)

Or HVLP gun.

Or good old fashion roller and brush?

Job site, about 70 liner feet x 6' - 2 sides.

Does anyone know what work best.. concerned about overspray hitting the house. thanks..

I've tried using my HVLP, a generic garden sprayer, and roller and brush.

HVLP just has too small of a cup - you're constantly refilling the damn thing.

As you state, garden sprayer is more of a soaking than anything. I went through considerably more sealer than with the other methods.

When it came down to it, using a roller and then dabbing it into the nooks and crannies with a brush seemed like the most effective method.

Absolutely stay away from the Wagoner...

I bought one when doing a house flip about 6 months ago. Attempted to use it one time and through the piece of junk back in the box and have not touched it since... Told the wife to seel the damn thing in her next rummage sale...lol
