I'm getting ready to spray trim and was wondering on how many coats of paint I should spray.

1. Door trim will need 1 coat of primer and at least 1 coat of paint. Is it worth the time to spray a second coat of paint?
2. Baseboard was really nicely primed as purchased. Super smooth finish. Is it worth priming?

- Paint is Behr Cabinet and Trim paint
- Primer is Behr multisurface

Depends. If you have an extra piece of pre-primed trim I'd spray it with your top coat and test adhesion. Also if you filled nail holes you may want to reprime before painting so top coat's sheen doesn't flash differently. Probably a good idea to lightly sand/skuff the pre-primed trim either way.

No need to prime twice.

Yes, to 2 top coats.
