Spreading Decorative Flakes

I have a concrete curb that runs on one side of my wall and I want to paint it but not put flakes on it when I put my floor down.

1) Is it common to paint curb without decorative flakes?

2) What is the best way to avoid flake coverage of curb (as it will be painted) when throwing the flakes? Should I come back and paint the curb later?

Hi,
We always recommend to do the floor first as the curbs and stemwalls can **** up a LOT of expensive epoxy and they see no traffic. We do recommend when doing the floor paint some on a piece of cardboard or wood and put aside.

If you have enough epoxy later on to do the curbs great, if not, take the sample to a local paint store and get some regular enamel or similar color-matched and use that, you won't see the difference and will save you lots of $$.

Flecks are very hard to do on vertical surfaces, we don't recommend flecking them.
