You can see one connector is gone and a couple pins, along with the broken hook. I haven't used it in years, since I got a posilock. My dad probably got it in the 1960s. I was going to Goodwill with it and noticed it was a Bonney, thought someone might want it.

No charge if anyone can use it or needs it for a collection.

Box of unknown origin sitting outside my shop this morning. Turns out to be from a member on another forum. All Bonney. Very generous!

That are some real nice looking streamline DOEs. Like the little adjustable as well. Do you happen to have a full set of streamline DOEs? Would love to see pics if possible.

Wasn't me - but, ye reaps what ye sows, Todd - and your Tools Archives are some good karma.

(Bubba did some grinding on the one end of that CV tappet wrench!)

Appreciate the kind words Greg, and thank you for helping me dig out those last few items I need to complete some sets, I really appreciate it! Yeah, too bad too cuz it's the 2nd earliest date code wrench I own, AN (Jan 1922).

Yay for me! three Zenel DOEs I've been looking for, a CV DOE, a W04 screwdriver, and a ½" extension. More on this below...

I already had one, but I bought this plain steel #4090 ½" extension because it has a DATE CODE on it. The "Chrome Vanadium" in italics seems to date from at least 1928, then. I think the roman typeface replaced it, as it continues into later designs.

Nice. Pretty uncommon for those to have date codes. Nice score!

Almost a full set of loc rite 3/8" SAE. Just missing 3/8-9/16. Also a few random 1/2" drive older sockets.

Let me dig in my stash and see if I have a spare 3/8 and 9/16 Loc-Rite in 3/8 drive gathering dust.

Nope, just looked. I do have a few 5/8" and 11/16" though.

I don't suppose the want ads get much attention so I'm going to post this here. I need the #21 wrench in that exact style to finish my board. Anyone willing to part with one?

Cool board, Twertsy. I wish I had the #21 for you, but no dice. I looked through a few boxes and came up with these guys.
#504 DOE
#23 DOE
#5 SOE (with lots of owners marks)

Nearly complete set of 1/2" drive Bonney. I already had the 11/16" the rest were in a tool box I bought at the flea today. Still need a 1/2" socket for the set, only a couple are marked CV. All of the have a model # that starts with A.

Stopped into a thrift store today around lunch time. Picked a couple things, including this small refrigeration ratchet, totally seized. Oil and whacking finally dropped the cylinder out. The small...pawl, is it? was pretty buggered on the business end, so I tried flipping it around, but then the buggering sticks instead of slides. Tried to smooth it with a stone, but still locks up. Think they are hardened? I do. So not sure how to proceed. Such a simple design, but depends on everything being smooth.

If I recall the guts of mine, the wheel was hardened and the pin was relatively soft. Would make sense - the pin (which is cheaper and easier to replace) would take all the wear. I'd try getting some steel rod stock of the appropriate diameter and fashion one.

I had a decent weekend at the flea for some more Bonney goodness.
Long DBE 5/8"x3/4", water pump pliers, small 1721 DOE, Interesting 1727 DOE, and a handful of 1/2" drive sockets which are a mix of A and D series sockets. Sorry SamsAutoParts, no 1/2" size.
The patent on the pliers (2152563) was granted in 1939!

The 1727 (CV) DOE, which is obviously of Bonney manufacture, is actually branded WRIGHT. :dunno: Date code is (B.T.)

Yeah, it looks like it might have had a socket on it a couple times but that's about it. It shows how unknown Bonney is here that I got it for so little.

Bruce! I'm interested if you can pick and ship. Happy to papal you.

I would but it is about a 6 hour round trip. Already put out the word to friends in the area to see if they can pick it up for me.
