Spring Fork? What is it GM automotive?

Belonged to a GM Guy.
Number 70.190 but no maker name.
Some sort of spring application?
Anyone have any ideas?

Part of a coil spring compressor. Its.missing the threaded rod and the other end would have two swing out hook features.

Something like that I would save because I know at some time it would be modified into some kind of one off tool to save my *** on a sunday evening. but that's just me.

Same here. I have a plastic tub in the bottom drawer of a tool box full of stuff like that. Every once in a while I modify and use one. Then I don't have to tear up something nice.
