Anyone used these?
They were in last months Matco flyer and my employee bought them.

I thought they were so cool I ordered the Amazon equivalent. I haven't used mine but he used his the first day and liked them.

Anyone else have any experience? I'm thinking it will take the spot of black vinyl tape in my toolbox....

They are nice because they don’t flop around. I’ve appreciated having them for certain applications. I’ve only used them for home uses.

This is based on the old Triangle Tools version that I bought many years ago.

I've used ones with external springs, and the spring was annoying, but helped stop the even more annoying flopping. These look really nice, but I'm, too cheap. when I need a universal not to flop, I'll put a wrap of electrical tape around it.

I can't stand universals. I don't even own a single one.

But for these, interesting idea. But where is the spring? I can't see it. It will be interesting to see how they hold up over time and use.

Even swivel adapters/sockets and wobble adapters/sockets loosen over time. Some more than others depending on design and quality.

I too was interested in the Matco versions, but I wosh they came with a locking mechanism to secure the socket. I guess the ball detent is ok but all of my extensions are locking extensions and I would own anything else. Snap on does make a locking universal but it is not spring loaded

Koken makes great universal joints that use the splined ball method. Tekton also makes them in 3/8 and 1/2" impact duty. Way better than the old style design
