OK not technically garage related and if I've busted a rule I apologize but my garage addition has required a re-do of my sprinklers so I'm starting here. Essentially I have a 30'x70' area that will be covered by rotors. I've got a 2" valve and piping to the area but I need to find some software or experts to help me lay it out. I don't have pressure readings yet either. Anyone know of some free trial software or have any expertise in sprinkler design?

Find a local sprinkler contractor. They can point you to a sprinkler eng. You will need that stamp.

That sounds like good advice...but it also sounds like a local code requirement.

You might want to find out what the requirements are in you local area.

I've moved several sprinkler head and right or wrong never pulled a permit.

As far as software, I've never found anything on freeware, just the old graph paper and pencil.

If you go to lowes and look in their sprinkler section there is a pamphlet for one of the sprinkler companies. Inside it has some options where if you send them a "blueprint" of your house and yard they will design your system for you. I think there are 3 different options, one is where they will design it for free and email it to you, another one is where they will do the same and send you a CD Rom I believe for like $20? I don't remember what the 3rd option is but when I get ready I am going to give it a try and see how it turns out. Hope this helps JM
