I've got these lawn sprinkler valves and they are in need of some parts. I think they must be old because I'm not seeing them on the web.
The brand is Hydrovalve. From Laguna Niguel, CA. The body is 2 "across and over all length is 3 1/2". Inlet and outlet are 1"
Anybody know where to get old valve parts?
Thanks,
Joe

Why change the valve?

did you check for power at solenoid? If you have the voltage there, just change the solenoid... They unscrew from the valve..

One issue is a sticky solenoid. Are solenoids universal? I guess I'll take this one up to the Ace and see if they have one up there that will work.

I have the Orbitz valves. Normally they preform flawless. I have had one stick at times. Mostly when I am winterizing the system. When I turn the valve closed to switch to the next station it wont close. so...

I either just unscrew the solenoid and screw it back in (back it out a turn) that normally solves it or whack it with the end of a screwdriver. That gets the valve to close.

The solenoid last time I looked runs about $7 the whole valve runs about $12.. They should be universal.

Try a new solenoid..

Noticed from your pic looks like a wire is disconnected? Far right in the pic...

Actually those two wires are twisted together. Apparently wire nuts were too much of a hassle when they put the rear sprinklers in. The whole thing is cobbled together. It's weird cuz the front yard box, manifold, valve setup is put together so nice. Definitely two different installers. Wire nuts are on the "to do" list btw.

Solenoids aren't universal. Take yours with you when you are looking for a replacement and maybe you will get lucky.

Sometimes it's less of a hassle to just rip out the old obsolete valves & replace them, I like Rainbird valves, learned that lesson the hard way after fighting the junk valves for few years..
