I picked up a new Vise over the weekend for $125. I am not certain who the manufacturer is. The closest thing I've found was an eBay posting for a 6" model, but the seller had no information. Would love to know some more about it if anyone out there has any info?

Thanks!

This is definitely above the standards of a Harbor Freight Vise. It weighs close to 2-3 times what a 5" HF vise does. The jaws are probably 3 times as thick also. I'm not saying it's not Chinese, I was happy with the purchase, Chinese or not. It has decent thread spacing. Markings on it are pretty minimal, I agree, but she'll get the job done. Was just hoping I could find a little more info on it. Hopefully someone will chime in eventually with at least a manufacturer name.

Thanks!

Hey, new member. I stumbled on this because I've come across a similar vise but stamped "6" instead of 5. It's a massive vise and I'd like to make an offer onit, but I'm trying to figure out what would be a fair price. Any suggestions on a ballpark offer?

Yeah, I wouldn't pay more than $50 bucks. I did get mine cleaned up and painted. I was glad I purchased it, since it was my first restore and i wasn't so worried about messing it up, but I wouldn't have paid as much as I did knowing what I know now. I didn't go as crazy on the restore as I would have if the vise was something more desirable, either.

Check my Album to see the Vise.

Although you overpaid, I think you'll get some good use out of that vise. I have the 6 in. version in my outside shop, and it's proven to be strong and durable.
