I've noticed floors being applied using squegee's (notched or straight), or rollers. The products I'm using list the application for both methods just wondering which one provided the best results for the DIY's that have put down they're own? Is one more dummy proof than the other lol? I'll be doing 2 coats of epoxy primer, coat of epoxy basecoat, and a Urethane clear coat. I've done it with rollers in the past but it was Solvent based and this system is 100% solids just wondering if the squegee's might be better. Thanks in advance!

When I did my floor I used both. The primer coat was relatively thin and could be spread easily with the roller. The main coat was much thicker and the squeegee was very helpful in spreading it out so I could roll it. For the Poly top coat, which was very thin, I just used a paint tray and rolled directly from that.

hey there,
pls , CHECK MY LINKS

it will save you a lot of pain,

basically, you need to use both,

I did 2 separate coats of base, and 1 urethane top coat.

The first coat sunk in and I think I also used too heavy a hand over the roller, not leaving a wet edge and really working it too hard.

It's NOT really a paint, THINK icing, or JAM, get a cake, pour the ribbon of JAM on it, and use spatula to cover the top of the cake, NOT TOO HARD, then just use a roller, to smooth it out, NO PREASSURE, otherwise, the jam goes into the cake..

does that analogy work ? :shocking:
