Hey guys, looking to replace one of my favorite novelty tools I've somehow lost (pretty sure it was stolen at work, been almost a year or more). Basically, it was a utility knife that you could squeeze to pop out the blade, hit a button to retract, and blade changeouts were about 5 seconds, so really handy. Even reloading 6 new blades takes less than 30 seconds really.

Seen how it works here (LOL at Uk folks scared of a utility knife.)

In my searching for a price less than upwards of $50 I was seeing new knives go for, I somehow found an "alltrade Squeeze knife" that looked suspicisouly familiar, only missing a few minor details:

So, I then searched "squeeze knife" and found this:

I know that snap-on has recently licensed troves of products, from cheap flashlights, knives, and even snap-on power washers at menards, so its not too crazy to see this knife now with a snap-on logo, afterall they own bahco.

So, has anyone tried it? At just a tic above $10, can I expect the same quality of that old Bahco knife? Not like its rocket-surgery equipment.

That looks like a really good deal, actually, may have to jump on it! Something about that old bahco was really unique and I liked it quite a bit, but I also carried this red husky around for a long time, and being a small folder without extra blades, it was very light in the pocket and low profile, so great for wearing around all day at work for using on boxes and such.

I'll have to check on that dewalt combo, though admittedly I don't really use cheap pocket knives because cheap steel drives me crazy.

Although not the same as what you have pictured, at work we get a Snap On #8702032 "slam knife." It has the same blade storage and change system as one pictured but you hit or push it on the end to extend blade. Its actually a pretty decent knife stands up to abuse, only downside its a kind of safety knife where if your cutting and it slips the blade retracts, probably a good thing but is a pain if your trying to cut certain things.

The Snap-On squeeze knife is made by Alltrade. You can usually pick up the Alltrade version on Amazon for a few bucks cheaper than the Snap-On branded ones. I've owned several of them and love them. The reason I've owned several is because they either get stolen or I give them to someone who falls in love with it. It's a bit bulkier than a standard utility knife but it has a comfortable grip. The part they don't show is that you can use the button to release the blade and then re-insert it and turn it around to use the other side.
