well the time has come, Im finally gonna post my progress. Its not as nice as some of the ones on here, but it serves me well for being in the middle of suburbia.
The garage is 24x36x10. Roof pitch is 5/12. I bought some nice insulated doors and windows. Electric is 200amp on its own meter. Receptacles are every 4' with several in the ceiling. I have 12 twin 4' fixtures, but for now I just installed some key fixtures till the drywall is up. Im hanging 2 liftmasters. Id like to get the drywall on the ceiling done soon so I can attempt to heat it a little. I also am doing blown fiberglass in the ceiling since I have some storage up there and the cullulose is too dusty. Im not too worried about the walls yet. Now on to the pics
Theres a story behind the mint green and watermelon pink trim on the old garage. Lets just say if I'm ever your neighbor please dont show up to the variance meeting complaining that my new garage will be an eye sore on the neighborhood. Not without talking to me first about it. I tore it down by cutting several studs, knocking a hole in the roof, wrapping a chain around the top plate and pulling it with a 85 3/4 ton. The neighbors have concluded that I am officially a redneck. Once it was on the ground, I quartered it up with an old circ saw and blade and hauled it to my buddies to burn in 10' sections. That old lumber burned hot and fast
I sub'd out the concrete work to get the job done faster and right. While Im sure I could have figured it out eventually, I didnt want to find out the hard way.
