I have eight Snap on cabinets KRA 3025 I have aquired over time and at the moment they are all in a line on my garage back wall. Which works fine but I now need more room. So my question is can I take the wheels off of four of the cabinets and stack them on top of the other four? Is it easy to connect them all together.

I know you can remove the casters and wheels and I wouldn't stack them any higher than 2. Connecting them, I assume would just take some drilling and new bolts. The biggest question is how are you going to get them stacked?

Since the top lip is raised and continuous all the way to the bottom, I don't see them as easily/naturally stackable.

Easy to cut wood strips or a whole piece of plywood the same height of the lip and run carriage bolts through the caster holes into new holes in the top of the now bottom box.

But what's the back story? 'Over time' no one finds eight KRA 3025s at yard sales, flea markets or craigslist. Too large to bring home one piece at a time in the lunch pail. So how about it?

I had a company where we bought the fitters these toolboxs as time has gone on and I have now closed the company. I decided to keep them. I used them first in my office with a wooden worktop. It looked great but now I want to put them back in my workshop and want to make a floor to ceiling toolbox.

That's some collection of the same kra3025 ,I have one I am looking for a rough idea of the date they were sold , I have been told they were made after 1980 but I am looking to narrow it down a bit nearer than 1980 , any idea when you your company purchased them ?
I have model number and serial number but I can't find much detail about this model . Any clues to some history would be great .
Thanks
Andy

OK folks, where's the pictures ? Seems like it would be a pain to get into the higher draws . If you don't need the space you could just sell 1 or 2 of them. How about selling all of them and getting a top and bottom that meets your needs. We need pictures !
