Just ordered a Harbor Freight 56'' roller cabinet. From most of your reviews here on the form, it seems like a good buy.
The instructions say not to exceed the weight limit of drawers.
My question is would it be safe to stack a 26'' craftsman top box (or similar)full of tools on it? Or would it be best to leave the top pretty much clear? :headscrat
Have a safe and happy new year!

You may want to pull the top large drawer out and feel underneath the top for supports. The reason I say that is that I have a Menards 41" roller at work and had a Craftsman top box (26" maybe). I noticed that the top of the roller appeared to be slightly bowed and it was. Of course though my top box had quite a bit of steel in it with angle plates, sine plates, 1-2-3 blocks and so on. The Menards roller did not have a center support. So what I did was put a 5/8" thick piece of Lexan on the roller to help distribute the weight. With a top box the same size, the sides of the roller box support the weight, but with a shorter box, you don't have the support. I'm not sure how the HF is made, but I'd venture to say it is very similar.

@ Neighbor, thats the 41" model which is also a great box the OP has the 56" version which is the different style.

I'm sure you'll be fine. If anything, brace it a bit by adding a butcher block and not only will it help, it'll look good!
