Stahlwille or Elora for combination spanners?

I want to purchase metric spanner set and these two are the brands that I have choosen. So which brand is preferable between the two? Elora dealer is nearby me, but not stahlwille. I have received a price quote for stahlwille metric set(13/10KT) , which is 136 euros/ $143(converted from Indian Rupees). I checked price for 13/10 KT stahlwille set on various websites,
tbs-aachen.de - 79.99 euros
amazon.de - 67.09 euros
amazon.com - $216 - with not so satisfactory review (only 1 review).

So my question is, is it worth to buy stahlwille? or should I check elora wrenches instead from my nearby dealer. I have purchased knipex pliers from elora dealer before, so I definitely know him fair bit, he is pleasure to deal with.

I know both these brands are as good as they get, but then which one among the two is better in terms of money spent?
Also, searching for reviews about stahlwille wrenches, many people look very satisfied with them, but then I found some guy who didnt find stahlwille tolerance any better than britool/ halfords. His review is on garagejournal as well as on ebay.com I guess.
Other brands nearby me are Gedore, Hazet and Snap-on, but Stahlwille and elora are only two brands on my mind now. Any help to decide which one to go for will be helpful

Of the two, I would consider Stahlwille the better - and I speak from experience as most of my metric spanners are Stahlwille!

Elora used to be a bit rough - they were sold in Farmers suppliers here in the U.K. - but they seem to have upped their game over the last few years. They are not quite in Stahlwille league though!

Stahlwille spanners are top end. With regard to 'tolerance' being no better then others, be careful not to confuse tolerance with clearance! Clearance is the amount that a spanner is bigger than a given fastener, and to be honest, it doesn't vary much from maker to maker as these figures are laid down in the appropriate standards! Tolerance is the amount that individual spanners vary from the 'ideal'. You wouldn't know this without checking a whole batch!

The only makers I'm aware of who make tools to lesser clearances are the Japanese - both KoKen with their Z series and KTC with their Nepros range offer these if it's important! Some of the aerospace specs specify a bit less clearance, but otherwise there's not a lot to choose!

If you're happy with the finish on the Elora, go for 'em! If you think you will want better someday, then buy the better ones now and save the cost of the Elora! That's not a brilliant price on the Stahlwille though - as you've found out, there are many deals around! I guess it's costly for TBS Aachen to ship to India?

To me Stahlwille makes the best hand tools in the world. This appears to be the opinion of TOPTUL as well as that's who they copy on their wrench designs.

As for pricing, when I purchased knipex pliers, their prices where all nearby to euro prices on amazon.de / ebay.de. But the stahlwille prices are more than their euro prices I see on german websites. The dealer (Bhatia tools & technology) is official partner for Stahlwille here in india, I will not be ordering through tbs-aachen as I dont have experience with international shipping.

I am definitely inclining towards stahlwille and will see if there is any chances of bargaining on it.

Thanks for your inputs, I appreciate it. I also saw TOPTUL wrenches look very similar to stahlwille. I have purchased toptul vice grips, Will purchase toptul in future, but I want that stahlwille wrench set. Its been on wish list since long.

Best is a bit of a hard statement. Maybe best for intended purpose in cramped areas as they are thinner than others. I have not much of experience but I have broken a 3/8 stahlwille socket 19mm size by trying to undo the Volvo wheel bolt.

I used a small T-extension max 300mm and...cracked, nicely though not brittle[emoji16].

Having used both a bit I think it comes down to ergonomics.

I like the feel of the Elora better. Both work fine.

What are the domestic brands in India like? I see and use some of the export models. Good worker bees for the mobile kit.

Another vote for Stahlwille. The 14 series long spanners are the first we all head for in the joint tool chest and great value compared to other top brands such as Snap On and Mac
