Looked at the recommended threads and found no new info.
I'm getting ready to stain my basement slab(new construction, fully cured) and have been researching options.
Stain: Acid, soy, actetone, ect. I plan on using acid.
Then I'll need a sealer and a top coat.
People are all over the place on sealers. I want something that won't yellow. Water based would be nice.
I'd like to go over that with two coats of a water based 2 part poly(just used Streetshoe NXT on the red oak floors).
I'm looking at the Eagle brand stain at Home Depot which is $59 per gallon. I'll need 6-8 gallons for 1,600 square feet. I can order 8 and return the leftover to HD.
Any recommendations on a sealer and a 2 part poly? I will call Basic coatings and see if their water based wood floor products work on concrete.
Thanks
