Looked at the recommended threads and found no new info.

I'm getting ready to stain my basement slab(new construction, fully cured) and have been researching options.

Stain: Acid, soy, actetone, ect. I plan on using acid.

Then I'll need a sealer and a top coat.

People are all over the place on sealers. I want something that won't yellow. Water based would be nice.

I'd like to go over that with two coats of a water based 2 part poly(just used Streetshoe NXT on the red oak floors).

I'm looking at the Eagle brand stain at Home Depot which is $59 per gallon. I'll need 6-8 gallons for 1,600 square feet. I can order 8 and return the leftover to HD.

Any recommendations on a sealer and a 2 part poly? I will call Basic coatings and see if their water based wood floor products work on concrete.

Thanks

Take a look at our Ballistix sealer over a stained floor. Incredible 20x performance over any type of standard sealer. sealer. No grinding or etching required. Available is gloss or satin.

Does the Ballistix take the place of the sealer-coat of poly-coat of poly process?

It appears to be a one coat over the stain and done product.

With a coverage of 400 - 1,000 square feet per gallon, I assume I would be on the high end of the scale with a concrete slab the was "burned in" with a power trowel.

Hi
Ballisitx would replace any sealer or coating over a stained floor So you wouldn’t need them along with the Ballistix. Ballistix will this have 10-20x the resistance to automotive fluids, salts, chemicals, etc than any sealer.
