Hey all,
I was wondering if any one had any luck with flaring stainless steel 3/16 brake line with a 37 degree AN with a mastercool hyd. set up? It seems as though I'm either doing something wrong or the tool is not capable. the line keeps splitting apart. Anyone have any insight? Thanks.

I use the mastercool hydraulic set with great success. Deburr the end with a file and run an 1/8 drill bit into the end of the tubing to deburr the inside.

Are you using seamless tubing? Might want to mark the tube where the split occured, cut it off, reflare. See if it's splitting in the same spot on the tube, probably a seam. I have the Mastercool, but don't have the 37 deg. stuff yet, but it's on order. I deburr the inside of the tube with a countersink bit in my cordless drill.
