Stainless combination squares?

Do these exist? I have a starrett now that i've basically given up on due to rust. I live close enough to the ocean that cast iron/non stainless tools rust extremely quickly and while i've coated the square head heavily in things like boeshield and glidecoat using the tool just once with bare hands is enough to cause rust to form within hours. I hate tool oil, I don't want to have oily hands and track oil on everything i'm working on every time I pick up my tools.

Does anyone make a high quality stainless steel head combination square? Is there some technical reason these aren't more common i'm unaware of?

most of mine all have a clear coat of some sort on them, though I don't think any are starret's. for a framing square, I prefer the aluminum ones for the no-rust since they are out in the weather more...I've never seen a SS one, but all my rulers are stainless...

I can't help you with this specific request but I picked up a couple of FRP speed squares for my portable toolbox, which is frequently used for outdoor work, and they are accurate and rust free. If you are a starter man, you'll probably scoff at the idea of plastic measuring tools but it's something to consider.

I've adapted over time such that I almost don't need a framing square.

Yes, decks and construction are not the same as furniture building. ... Just a thought.

Don't know if anyone does an all stainless but Empire's combo squares have a stainless stock and a cast alloy or zinc body, they are pretty good and definitely don't rust.

There were Starrett stainless blades. I have never seen all stainless.

The Starrett hard chrome blades hold up better than the plain steel ones. The cast iron heads don't seem to have much problem to me.

The heads are not stainless, I think he wanted the entire thing stainless
