Stainless steel countertop installed

I just finished installing a 16 gauge stainless steel countertop over about 66" of base cabinets. I glued it to 1 1/2 MDF board.

Me too -- having a window would be nice. However, in my previous place burglars used the window to rob me -- so it's a trade off.

Hope I don't have that problem. Both of those rear windows have their own contact sensors as does the large garage door and the man door. If those are defeated then hopefully the motion sensor will get them.

Hey that does look good.

Depending on the application, its sometimes best to not have a window that opens. But I too would feel at ease.

Now you just have to remember to set the alarm!

Very nice. I'm nearing this step. Wedding is over and now it is time to focus on the house. 26x26 attached garage. I'm trying to decide on which epoxy flooring to go with then I'll have to figure out what I'm doing for counters. I don't want to spend a bundle but I'll be doing motor pulls suspension lifts/drops etc. so I need something I can put heavy (and greasy) parts on and not worry. What is my best option? I'm thinking either buying some used kitchen cabinets from CL and cover them with SS or buying a couple steel benches. How much did this SS run you?

Mine was about $280 including tax, it is about 67" by 26". I brought the sheet metal place a template for them to use. I did the install putting it over 1 1/2 MDF.

I used a DAP product called Dynaflex230 in Aluminum Gray.

That does look great. Nice job.

I really like having windows in my shop but I really wish I hadn't put the bench right under one. I had this vision of being able to enjoy a view of the great outdoors while I was working at the bench but what really happens most of the time is that the sun is in my eyes and side of whatever I'm working on is in the shade so I can't see what I'm doing.
