It's in the Houston CL too. As the old saying goes, if it is too good to be true....

Take a look at the link below. Someone tried to buy it and had serious concerns. He posted a "response ad".

I emailed them last week when the ad hit the Houston CL. I rec'd an email back from them it is was the same company. It was too far away (couldn't inspect it) and they didn't answer my questions, so I passed....thankfully.

Back to the 42" HF I guess.

I too inquired about it and red flags started popping up immediately. First all of the emails came directly from the person whose name who registered the website. Second, the website was clearly not affiliated with a legitimate business because there was no legal information, physical address etc.

Third, the guy posts multiple products on Craigslist using different descriptions each time. All of the products are on sale, all include free shipping, none charge tax regardless of what state you live in, and all are too good to be true.

Fourth, the guy requires payment via "Green Dot" which is a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE red flag. This is just like sending money via Western Union and it cannot be tracked, so once you send something the money is gone!

He claims he accepts Google Checkout, but Google doesn't list him as a legitimate retailer, and he doesn't use the Google system. He asks you to email the information to him (how stupid does he think we are). By the time someone figured out that he had scammed their credit cards, he would be long gone.

Fraud reports for his website (onsalebazaar.com) are starting to pop up all over the web, so in short it is a SCAM.

I posted a warning on Craigslist about the scam and have had quite a few people thank me as they were tempted. http://sd.craigslist.org/tls/1474688583.html

Don't be fooled - don't be a victim.

Costner did the legwork to prove it, but it took about 3 seconds to look at that ad and recognize it as a scam. You get where you can just tell on CL after awhile.
