Stair and office framing inside Morton building

Making s l o w progress on my Morton Building. The framing is finished for the office, mini-kitchen, and bathroom. Electrical is being completed now. When I ordered the building I added two options (among others). I increased the roof pitch to 6/12 and had one truss deleted so I could use space above the planned office space.

Here are some pictures. I did not want the stairs inside the office as that would require the stairs be fully built in and insulated as office will be conditioned space. Note upper stair landing is cantileverd as I did not want the office wall hard against the garage bay door. The building is 30 x 40 and the office etc area is ~12 x 30. BTW any overhead lights in pictures are temporary.

I plan to heat and cool the office with a mini-split. The building has basic insulation to prevent condensation, but it would not be adequate so the stud walls will be insulated as well.

Cheers,

Selo

Sorry to say, but your railing posts (looks like notched 4x4s) are probably not accepted anymore. I know they are not accepted for decks in GA, but NC and/or your application may have different requirements.

TRW,

No need to be sorry. The pictures are preliminary as railing not yet finished. I am going to add 3/8 bolts and/or lag screws to the 4 x 4 lap joints. Regardless, here in rural NC the railing as shown has already been inspected and approved.

Cheers,

Selo
