Hey guys,

I Have an attached two car with stairs in the garage leading up to the house. I've also made the landing larger so that I can put the beer fridge on it for ease of access.
This past weekend I layed some flooring and put down vinyl stair nosing.

But this morning I checked on the nosing and due to the temperature dropping to 0 Degrees Celcius last night there is about 1/4" gaps on all the joints.
In other words it looks like ****.

No I don't have heat in the garage yet.

I was wondering what everyone has done for this?
Metal Nosing?

i'd like to get diamond plate nosing but don't want to spend a ton.

I'd love to hear your ideas and solutions?!?

Cheers,

Kevin

Vinyl / rubber is temp. senstive. You could use an alum. nosing [angle].

+1 on the aluminum nosing...available in black anodized as well (but might be tough to find locally).

You could also use the diamond plate aluminum stuff which is normally used for corner guard (corners on walls), they have in in 1" x 1" which might look nice.

Here's a good source for all types of aluminum diamond plate products. I purchased all my stairway material from them. Check out their "Scratch-and-Dent" specials. I saved about 50% for all my adhesive-backed material and have yet to find a scratch or a dent on any of the pieces. In my build thread somewhere, I show a few treads with the diamond plate temporarily set in place for a trial fit (though I still haven't permanantly completed the project yet)

Link: Diamond Plate - Look under "Molding" for corner protectors that could work as stair nosing.

Good idea to have the beer fridge right outside the door!
