I need to locate/purchase some treads and risers for the stairs leading from my garage to basement workshop. I have found a few options, but am looking for more. Thanks in advance!

for treads use some 2x12, 10 or 8s depending on your pitch. They will be nice and sturdy. I am going to put some 1/2 in. plywood behind them on mine.

Re: Stair Tread COVERINGS - Info Wanted

Sorry, I wasn't very clear in the initial post. I am looking for the coverings; the stairs are already constructed and are bare wood. I would like to finish them off with the industrial type coverings, but have not found a well priced option.

Graingers or MSC might have what you are looking for. Check the yellow pages for floor covering/tile distributors in your area. They usually have a descent selection.

Let me try to help you out buddy. try these guys out, http://www.wooster-products.com/

Just a note, when coating a wood surface on a semi exterior area like in a garage, it needs to be a flexible coating due to the enormous amount of expansion and contraction your wood stairs will go through.

Good luck!
