I just completed my 26x26 garage which has a 12x26 room upstairs. I had plain wooden stairs installed along the back wall to access the room which I plan to finish in the near future. I am considering making it a theater room since it has a door that can be closed in to only access the room from outside. I would like to dress up the stairway a little as I hope to install hardwood floors in the room in the future. Does anybody have any pictures showing their stairs?

I stained my plain old builders grade pine steps going into my basement of my house and they turned out great. I get alot of compliments on them. Just a thought.

What did you do for handrail? Since my stairs are on the back wall one side is completely open to the garage.....obviously a hazard and I want to put up some kind of rail but wanted to do something other than 2x4's.

Ya mind posting or email me pictures of your stairs? I am needing to build some stairs and sounds like I will run them the same way you did. A visual of what you did would help me.

Thanks
