Did some research on here and am thinking of purchasing these for my garage floor. Was wondering if when people have used them they put poly down under them or just put them on the floor?
Any input would be greatly appreciated

Just a thought here....a buddy bought a stall mat from Tractor Supply to put in the back of his jeep. The mat had an overwhelming rubber odor that was so bad, he finally took it out. If that smell persists, I can only imagine what a garage floor full of these would smell like.

In the great NW
rubberflooringinc.com you can get your pieces exact length to what you want to cover. Are you covering the whole garage or just parking lanes?

and to answer your question i have them on the bare concrete and they work great that way. They are ribbed on the underside so moisture can get

Got the Stall Mats down today. I did the whole garage (well enclosed carport - my simple garage as it is.) They worked out great and don't look half bad!! Thanks for all the input and thanks Tractor Supply!

Looks good!
I'll be doing this to my ugly floor soon.
Does each mat weigh 100# like the specs say?

Thanks! They are more bulky than heavy especially if you're moving them yourself! A trick to cut them is to score them once with a utility knife and then use a hacksaw to saw three or four inches through the mat, then use the utility knife and they cut like butter!

Ellen

I put one in the bed of my Ranger. I had to trim it to fit and now I can crash out in the back with a bit more comfort if necessary. The smell did go away in about a week.
