Sorry if a bit off topic...

I have an exterior stamped concrete patio that I stripped off the sealer a few years back due to blushing and delamination. I have been hesitant on resealing because of the trouble I went through stripping it off.

I am thinking of resealing and wondering if there are some new options anyone has tried.

Looking to bring the color back out and possibly add anti skid.

Is spraying better than rolling ?I not against spending the cash on a sprayer if needed.

I completely understand your hesitation towards using another coat of old fashioned acrylic sealer, especially after having to strip all of the garbage off. I've seen a number of issues with the stuff in the past few years, and as someone who installs and stands behind alot of stamped concrete, I quit using the antiquated acrylic sealers about 2 years ago. One of my salesman turned me on to something new, an acetone based enhancing sealer with low gloss, and more importantly, excellent breath ability. It's all I use now, especially on re-seals, and unless I start to see some un-forseen issues with it, I will continue to use it.

This is what I currently use:

They mention rolling or brushing, but in reality, it really has to be sprayed because it set's off so quickly. Also, being acetone based, it will destroy the seals on most sprayers in short order. You could probably try a cheapy sprayer and throw it away after you're done. I currently use a ~$170.00 pump sprayer with good results so far, but I can see where a homeowner wouldn't want to dish out that kind of money.

The other downside is that its' relatively expensive, but I guess that really is "relative" after seeing what "Legacy" gets for a 5 gallon pail of of the old school sealer........

Thanks Joes169. Seen any blushing or whitening issues with this at all ? Maybe Ill give it a try. I don't mind spending money for quality stuff.
