Standard power hacksaw

I picked up this power hacksaw the other day but have not been able to find out much info on it. I bought it to cut all the metal for a 2"x72" belt grinding machine I'm building but now that is done I have time to tear it down a do a full rebuild.

Made in Taiwan in 1983 but obviously a much older design, just wondering if it looks familiar to anyone?

No help here. I sure do like those old power hacksaws though. I have had some opportunities to pick one up, but just no space. That one is a bit different than the usual fare. Nice find!

Nice saw! I like having a medium sized Keller or similar industrial grade saw as they take up less floor space compared to a similar capacity horizontal bandsaw. Bandsaw is great for production where throughput is important. But for small shop use the power hacksaw is cheap to buy and use Plus smaller.

Blades are inexpensive and easy to change. You can match the tooth count to the work in seconds!

Seems slightly close to the Knuth Sawmaster I have. Easiest way to tell on these is that they cut reverse of most (cut on push vs pull).

I'm pretty much done and have put it back to work, I still have to install new hoses from the pump to the reservoir.
It is very quiet now that all the bushings and bearings have been replaced and the gibbs adjusted.
The large C clamp is temporary until I can fabricate a new clamping washer to hold the vice in place, the old system has simply worn out.
I may have to drill a series of locking pins to hold it at 90 - 45 degrees.
I love watching it work, kind of mesmerizing.
