Standard v. Flex head ratcheting wrenches

Any advantage of getting normal, fixed ratcheting wrenches (gearwrenches) if you already have the flex head version?

You might be able to answer that yourself. Ever run into an issue where the flex didn't fit, due to wider area beneath head?

Are they locking?

I haven't, but I am sure someone else has.

Your worried about getting more tools... for next to nothing? I would get them; it fills in a couple of sizes you are missing (8,18)... its always good to have options when you are attacking a job! I always use non-flex for normal situations and flex for tight obstruction oriented situations.. give yourself options and get the job done easier! This is what having tools is all about!

So true. Having them For that one time when you need them makes it worth the 20$.

HF has the 7pc metric and SAE sets on sale right now. Not a bad starter set IMHO.
