"STANDARD" Vise

We purchased a vintage vise embossed with "STANDARD VISE" on one side. It has 4" jaws and weighs 40lbs. Does anyone know the history of this vise"

Yeah they aren't all SCORES! I drove (quite a ways!) for a CL ad for an 8" wilton. Nope it OPENS to 8" :wtf: the ad originally SAID opened to 12" jaws 8" depth 5 something... It was a 4" (but he had 2 of them! No, it don't count...) I left them there...

I don't know the history, but the $300 (plus $50 shipping) that you've got it listed for on ebay seems a bit steep. But if you do get your asking price, you might consider an Alliance membership here on GJ, as a kickback.

Its a Morgan. About impossible to research "Standard" vise.
