I think only the early ones had the flowers cast into the sides. I'll have a look at my S.W. Hart 45 and see. Mine is post 1920.

I've got a Montgomery Wards 45. (rebranded Stanley). I love that thing but it took forever to get the hang of it. Mine was in a wooden box and had all of the parts except for the slitter knife. Believe it or else, you could buy replacement blades for them not too long ago.

The 45 is a little tricky to use. The best way to describe it is "fiddly". But once you get used to it, it's handy for plowing grooves.
