Some reviewers complained on them being dirty/coating coming off, any experience with this?
How many point and how many teeth?
Based on your username do you use them on aircraft?

I haven't tried the black chrome Stanley tools. The Amazon reviews of the same set suggests that the dirt is from the manufacturing process and not an issue once wiped off. I think I read these were 52 or 54 tooth ratchets.

My user name actually comes from the same horse as the business jets, the 1948 triple crown winning horse.

Why can't all sets come like that. Every set available at most stores almost always has BS filler pieces to get the piece count up.

I have some of their black chrome tools, first set I bought when i started getting into tools. The ratchet is still one of my favorites to use, and indeed probably has near 50 teeth. Certainly much more than RP craftsman I was using before. Sockets are sockets, no complaints there, oldest sockets I personally own now and have no issue.

I've owned a set very similar to this for over 10 years with many of those being my only set of sockets I used since my other tools were all in storage and I have to say they have served me VERY well. The only "issue" I had was my own fault when I broke the anvil off the ratchet by trying to remove an axle nut with a 3 foot pipe on the ratchet in a pinch. The crazy part is that before it twisted off it actually loosened the nut enough that when I put another ratchet on they socket the nut came right off. I have used them enough to wear off some of the black chrome on a few of the more commonly used sockets but thats not a major issue for me anyway. I may pick up one or two of these sets just to have a fresh set/case to keep in the trunk since the locking tabs have long since broke off my other case.

Aren't Stanley just like Gearwrench where in order to warranty, YOU pay the shipping back to them and they decide if it's a "Manufacturer Defect"....
....yeah no thanks. I'll continue using Husky, Kobalt, Craftsman, Pittsburgh, Duralast, Carlyle, etc literally every other China tool brand that just gives you another tool at the store when you break one. No thanks.

SBD needs to stop with this garbage. They are getting these sets for $0.90-2.00 from China. Zero reason they can't make it right like everyone else when you break something without demanding the end consumer spends $10 on shipping for them to "decide" You wanna play manufacturer defect warranty game, best have actually decent USA tools, otherwise people are just going to go to harbor freight and get an entire new set whenever they break a socket.

How often are you breaking your sockets and ratchets? Seriously, this is a $30 set.

And for the same $30 I can get a Pittsburgh Taiwan set that if I break anything it's covered at any of 500 plus locations. And yes I broke an 8mm, not covered at all with SBD unless I pay more than a new socket in shipping, no thanks.

Bottom line here guys is SBD is getting these sets for like $2 from China. There is zero reason they can't make it right like EVERY OTHER CHINESE TOOL COMPANY when they break. No need to be greedy and refuse to warranty anything. If I break any other Chinese brand warranty is quick and easy. Be it for a $30 set or a $9.99 set. It's called building a loyal customer base. I'll continue to buy HF and others because when I break cheap stuff (that's why I have cheap stuff) they make it right. SBD needs to get real. I'll just get USA vintage unwarrantable quality stuff if I want good tools with no warranty need.

Sounds like you are inventing a problem. An easy solution is to not buy it.

I wouldn’t get too worked up about warranty on a socket that cost $.43.

You really have to put this warranty nonsense in perspective.
