I had bought 2 sets of stanley wrench sets from wal mart a few years ago, I think they may have been labled contractor grade wrenches, but they are listed as mechanics wrenches in their parts website.

Well anyways, the sets only came with certian sizes and I wanted to get a few of those sizes but in ones that matched the rest of the set, so I stumbled around their site and found that they do make matching full polish long wrenches that go with the set, granted only 3 singles that didn't come in the set, 7mm and 15/16 and 1".

Just thought I would post a link up for those that have these and wanted to get the other few they make to match their other set. I paid I think $22 shipped for those three.

The quality is pretty nice, especially for the price. I was going to replace them after starting out in the automotive field with snap on or matco ones, but don't feel the need to because they work perfect, and are still in nice condition after using them professionally for about 6 years in the field.

I have a set of them in SAE and Metric that Ive used professionally for 12 years. Some of the finest wrenches I have ever owned. I also own Snap-On, Mac and a few other brands. The fact they were cheap as hall 12 years ago is a plus

Yep, they are great! Hopefully some of you guys can buy the 3 that they have online that are not in the sets to add to your set. I wish they made a 21, 22, 24. I called them and they definatly don't make them and refered me to buy the proto ones, I just wanted to have them all match, but stanley proto are still same family so I'll have to pick them up.

The fully polished wrenches sold individually at Northern Tool are just about identical to the Stanley (may BE the same, I dunno) and run about $4 to $7 apiece, depending on the size. I used them to fill out a set (not a Stanley set) and they've worked out very well. Cheaper than Craftsman and much nicer too.

I've really been considering those Stanley sets from WalMart. Nice wrenches.

I have nothing bad to say about Stanley. A while back I purchased a 200 or so piece socket set from Wal Mart for about $80. Even though they are made in Taiwan, they are pretty darn good, never had a problem with chrome, rust, breaking, etc. My only concern is when or IF I do need to warranty something, how do I? But that's my opinion on Stanley. Love it, wish they had a larger lineup.
