Stanley Hammer Head Codes??

I have six Stanley claw hammers of various weights from 20oz. down to 7oz., all in new condition, high polish variety. Recently I noticed that each has identifying information made part of the forged head on the underside where the claws meet the center.

I am assuming these are maker identifiers, forging contractors perhaps, but does anyone know for sure, and is there any such code information out there?

I don't know where or if the numbers are located. A snippet from their 1958 catalog available online.
Looks as if they get fairly involved with their model #s.
