Stanley Hammer Question

I was watching an old 1999 episode of Modern Marvels, in which they featured Stanley Antivibe hammers being made in Shelbyvlle, TN.

Yet, they're all made in China now--including the Mac and Proto ones. I'm curious, when did this plant close? My only Stanley hammer is about 40 years old, so that's not of much use.

Speaking of that, I highly recommend the episode. Entitled "The Tool Bench: Hand Tools" it's from Season 5 in 1999.

The location was 1200 Stanley Blvd, Shelbyville, now used by Titan Transfer and Goggin Warehousing.

More diligent searching might pin it down tighter, but I don’t care that much.
