Lack of a 17mm and 19mm is kind of deal killer for me. Well that and already owning the HF $9 set, be a ****** if it lacks them as well.

The 17 and 19mm are very common..probably why the set is so cheap they left those out...I wont shop at Walmart for anything..let alone tools.

Why does anyone sell sets like that that are lacking commonly used sizes? Only thing I can think of is to sucker you into buying it then having to separately buy the missing sizes by which time you have more money not to mention aggravation into it than if you bought a better set to begin with. Get the Grey Pneumatic set, 10-36mm no gaps.

What the history on Grey Pneumatic?? Are real high quality, are they like Craftsman or a little better??

love mine so far, fit really nice on fastners....i would rate them above craftsman, even tho they are foreign made.

I have them in 1/4", 3/8", & 1/2" sizes and really like them. For the most part they're what I grab when I need to do something even with regular ratchets.

In 1/4" GRY 9771 71 pc 3/16"-9/16" sae, 4mm-15mm metric

in 3/8" GRY 1242 42 pc 5/16"-3/4" sae, 8mm-19mm metric

in 1/2" GRY 1326M 26 pc 10mm-36mm standard
GRY 1326MD 26 pc 10mm-36mm Deep

All the above was right about 475 or so, the 1326M 10-36mm standard is around 68.00, the 1326MD is around 125. I have used several sizes of both the 1/2" deep & standard on a 1/2" Nitrocat & haven't noticed any wear or damage. Just got my 3/8" Nitrocat so will be using that drive size over time, the 1/4" I have just used with an air ratchet & regular ratchet. I use these for about everything & they grip the bolts well, keeps me from having to buy another chrome set.

I really like that idea (it's too late for me, though). A person could buy all of those sets from Grey...a small box full of various ratches and breaker bars...a couple of pneumatic or 'lectric impacts...viola, you're done with the socket buying biz.

Just checked my $8.99 set from HF, 10,11,12,13,14,16,17,19,21,23mm so it has all I use. I still may buy a "better" 19mm for wheel lug nuts, but decided not to get anything too fancy.

Allow Elroy to comprehend what's going on here.

So you joined our little group here, then dug up a three year old post about Stanley sockets being sold at Walmart and wanted to post that if you don't shop at Walmart you're paying too much.

On a strictly monetary basis Elroy pays too much all the time. And for a reason. Walmart blows chunks. There is more to retail sales than just low prices. Having a quality USA made product is one.

The only thing Walmart does in my book is supply competition in the market place. You choose to shop at Wally World for your tools. Elroy will shop other places thank you.

I bought a set like that 15 years ago when i first got into diesel mechanics. They were cambell hausfeild though. In are heavy use shop incredibly i never lost and even more shocking is they held up great and are still going strong. Not bad for the 9.99 i paid for them when i was young and dumb.
