I recently acquired three stanley machinist vises. 991a 992a and 993a. The 992a has a quick lock base but the other two have no bases. I was wondering what my options are to get bases. I don't really know too much about these so any help would be wonderful. Thanks

If you still have these vices could you post a pic or two. Thanks

I don’t iwn sny of these vises, but I believe these are Stanley bises, based somewhat on older North Brothers “Yankee” brand vise designs, which Stanley would have acquired when they bought North Brothers, or at least the NB Tool division and Yankee brand.
I believe Stanley made the fixed jaw of the vises square to the base though, to allow more drilling and mounting options for more versatility.
I believe otherwise the Stanley vises were similar, with a similar rotating base mount.
Yost and Morgan still make/sell a similar vise, although usually only in one size, where the North Brothers and Stanley versions where available in three or four sizes.
