Stanley No. 45, Mini Screwdriver

Found this little guy in an antique store this weekend. It's stamped Stanley No. 45. Cabinet tip and it's about 4-3/8" long. Just curious about you collectors of these screwdrivers with the red ring on the ferrule? Any idea on the years circulated or any other info?

The No. 45 with that bolster was sold c.1937 until sometime after 1961 but before 1969. Here's some catalog pics:

Edit: I noticed your driver has a patent which could help date it because usually companies took patents off when they expired although not always. This patent was filed for 4/07/1931, granted 1/05/1932, and expired 1/05/1949. So from 1937 maybe up until the early 1950s. Unless of course they never took it off.

I found one the other day. It is the 12 inch and has the patent date 1932. Love it.
